    That sure brings back memories...Good ole Keg & Platter...I knew Gary and Carol! 1977, used to jam at Gary & Carols club in Albany...and when Carol was in the hospital for back surgery, I played there with Gary and Tim.

    I remember them. They played a Salem concert on the roof of Meier and Franks. 60ies

  •  2 місяці тому

    I agree. I saw them in Seattle on August 21, 1964, and I say I "saw" them. There was so much screaming you couldn't hear them.

  • @markharris5107
    @markharris5107 2 місяці тому

    I read a piece by someone who had attended the concert, and he said you could only hear the beat of the drums - the screaming was too loud to hear the music. Too bad for the music lovers that the hysterical girls, with delusions of being noticed by one of the Beatles, ruined it for them.

    Landis, not Landress!!! Tom was one of 2 of my main mentors as a bass player. 7,8 & 9th back then. I have a tribute to Don Braucht on my music (other) channel. Great job you guys are doing. On the airplane around 00:12:00 yes, Rick Seales the Breakaways drummer. Rick again at 00:15:00 Rick was a great drummer whose main influence was Mike Burk (Burke?) from the Wailers.

    Sadly, John just recently passed away. He was a goodin for sure. We knew John from all our music & wow did I give him a lot of money for camera gear over the years. He was one of my go to guys at The Shutterbug for years.

    Although our family rarely ate at Bob's as we weren't exactly made of money, I will never forget those 1980s TV ads with the jingle that goes "It's not just a burger, it's a Bob's".

  • @Miler97487
    @Miler97487 5 місяців тому

    In 1976 our family lived about three blocks from the Bob's at W11th and Garfield in Eugene. We lived at the Westmoreland Student Housing Apartments but I believe we stayed there for just one month before moving several miles north of Elmira. We never ate there in ’76 but did move back to Eugene in '78 and in the 1980s we only occasionally ate there but eating out was rare. I remembered the roof at that location being yellow. I was thrown off seeing the roof green in 1990, but I was living in Florence on the coast by that time. That location eventually became a donut shop, then in 2009 it was torn down, replaced by Aaron's furniture store.

    Having had the great pleasure of watching this band live on several occasions in the 70's (practices, high school dances, a kegger in Cascadia and a couple of dive bars), it's a great joy to hear them once again! They were tight and hard working musicians. Thanks for sharing!

    Does anyone know if this band performed together in in 1966 ? I was a huge fan of N.W. rock bands & because i was too young even at 13 & grown up in seattle area, i went to every concert & the huge battle of the bands in august 1966 in greenlake outdoors, Seattle Wa. I voted for the opening act, The Bumps & i heard them again in 1967, anyway it was amazing that the sonics, the wailors whom my drum teacher of the next year for me anyway performed along with his band mates and everyone who heard these cats & watched them, No Doubt were blown away and even myself, walked away in late 66,67,68 &1969 telling anyone who would listen that The City Zu were the Best !!! And A Shout Out To a band who performed at the 1967 Teen Fair put on by radio station KJR Seattle Dick Curtis & The Great Pat O' Day, now after all that Yes i agree that The Live Five put on a great show at the 1966 battle of the bands at Green Lake Seattle WA & Sam The Sham and the Pharaohs...
